HONOR: Bring honor to Jesus, who performs remarkable miracles for you - Mark 6:4

Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by His disciples. When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard Him were amazed. “Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given Him? What are these remarkable miracles He is performing? Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at Him. Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in His own town, among His relatives and in His own home.” He could not do any miracles there, except lay His hands on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith. Mark 6:1-4

Eternal Truth
"Furthermore, the Father judges no one, but has assigned all judgment to the Son, so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, they have crossed over from death to life." John 5:22-24

Prayer
Lord Jesus, I know it grieved Your heart with sadness and disappointment to see such little faith and lack of honor for You among Your family members and religious people who claim to love God. Thank You for performing remarkable miracles for those who honor You. I want to glorify our Father and honor Your name through my actions, thoughts, and words. Holy Spirit, please strengthen my faith in Christ, especially during times of trouble, so that I may honor Him before my loved ones and friends. Abba Father, I pray in the mighty name of Jesus, my Savior.
