Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27
Prayer
Open my eyes Lord Jesus in new ways to see the needs around me and understand that the Christian life is not rules and regulations. Remove from my heart all pride and prejudice towards people of all races so I can be a true soul winner. Deliver me from having a “lone ranger mentality” that is self-preoccupied. Fill me with a passion to bless and visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and do good unto all men and women, especially to those of the household of the faith. In Your blessed name I pray.
There's an orphanage on Main Street,
Lonely children call it home,
When they go to count their blessings,
They have few to call their own.
But there is a mighty God
Who visits everyday.
He comes to bring them love
To chase their loneliness away.
