Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 NKJV
Prayer
What counts in life is not how I start the race, but how I finish it. Merciful Father, I thank You for promising me an imperishable crown and unfading reward that is kept in heaven for those who love Jesus Christ. I'm encouraged that my life in Jesus is not in vain and will result in everlasting rewards. Teach me to be disciplined and temperate in all things. Help me to never lose faith when I'm tested with trials that seem unbearable to me. Remind me O Lord to look up and to press on with determination until I reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which You, through Christ Jesus, is calling me. In His mighty name I pray, amen.
March through books of the Bible and meditate on the promise, prayer, and song of the day to help strengthen your faith and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our Savior. Loving people with compassionate care and pointing them to "Christ, the Way, the Truth, & the Life" is how you will be a soul winner and bring glory to God.
