I will come forth as gold-Job 23:10

Why does God test me? The word "test" in the Bible means "to prove by trial." We read in the 1st Chapter of the book of Job, how he was viewed as a blameless and upright man who feared God and shunned evil. Job did not understand all of the reasons why he was tested or had to suffer so many afflictions in life, but he patiently endured trials without turning his back on God or charging Him for wrongdoing. It's no different for you and I. In Malachi 3:3 we read that God is the Refiner who holds you in His hands of love and is designing you into a vessel of honor that reflects the glorious image of His Son, Jesus Christ. The pain, grief, suffering, hardship, or loss is making you more like JESUS. Thank Him today for your present circumstances and believe that the fiery trials which you face are purging all of the dross in your life that you may shine forth like pure gold.

Bible Verse About Gold and Refinement

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. Job 23:10 NIV

Today's Prayer

Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but the LORD tests the heart. Abba Father, please strengthen my faith to believe in Your faithfulness and not doubt when I am tested and refined in the furnace of affliction. Purify my life O LORD and remind me Holy Spirit that my present troubles won't last very long and they do not compare with the eternal glory that awaits those who love Jesus Christ. In His name I pray.
