Don't worry about a thing-Ruth 3:11

What worries you today? Worry is real in all of our lives and the bible tells us that worry is like a heavy weight that burdens you and brings you down. Unexpected problems, disasters, wars, famine, diseases, sicknesses, accidents, losses, financial hardships, persecutions, broken relationships, lies, and rejection are worry weights that we encounter every day. Maybe you've tried overcoming the weights of worry by reading self-help books, the power of positive thinking, or yoga exercises. These strategies are temporal band-aids that may help lessen the burden for a brief moment, however, the real answer to solving worry is turning to God in prayer and giving Him all of your worries for HE CARES FOR YOU. 1 Peter 5:7  The bible tells us that Jesus was homeless and did not have a place to lay his head, yet, He taught His followers how to be free from worry in their everyday life. He said to them in Matthew 6:25-27 NLT - "Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?"  I do not know what is troubling you today, but God does, so let His living word come into your heart and believe what Boaz said to Ruth - "don't worry about a thing" for your Father in heaven will take care of you. Say today's prayer below and listen to the song of the day - "Come to Jesus".

Verse About Not To Worry

“The Lord bless you, my daughter!” Boaz exclaimed. “You are showing even more family loyalty now than you did before, for you have not gone after a younger man, whether rich or poor. Now don’t worry about a thing, my daughter. I will do what is necessary, for everyone in town knows you are a virtuous woman. Ruth 3:10-11 NLT

Prayers to help overcome worry

God cares for me. Loving LORD, I appreciate hearing Your words "don't worry" and thank You for promising to take care of my needs. Teach me to cast my cares upon You and to rely upon Your divine providence so I don't make life's problems bigger than what they really are. Lead me Holy Spirit to someone today who is feeling anxious and needs my support. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
