Prosper in Ephrathah-Ruth 4:11

Does God want to prosper you?  The answer is yes He does. Throughout the bible we read how God prospered (flourished, enriched, blessed) men like Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job, Boaz, David, Solomon, Jehoshaphat, and Hezekiah. These were men who loved God, made mistakes like you and I, but understood the importance of being obedient to God's word. In today's bible verse we read how the elders of Moab prayed for Boaz, "may God prosper you in Ephrathah." Boaz is figure of Christ, a man of God who kept his word and fulfilled his responsibilities as a kinsman redeemer. The meaning of Ephrathah means 'fruitfulness' and Bethlehem means the 'house of bread.'  The bible tells us that God sent His SON to prosper us by making our lives fruitful and complete if we abide in Jesus - THE TRUE VINE and THE BREAD OF LIFE. We read in John 15:4-5 NLT - "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing." John 6:35 NLT - "Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

Verse about God's Fruitfulness

Then the elders and all the people standing in the gate replied, “We are witnesses! May the Lord make this woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, from whom all the nation of Israel descended! May you prosper in Ephrathah (fruitfulness) and be famous in Bethlehem (house of bread). Ruth 4:11 NLT

A Prayer For Fruitfulness

My union to Jesus makes my life prosperous and fruitful (Ephrathah). Lord Jesus, I'm so thankful that nothing can separate me from Your love that makes my life productive. I want to abide in You, that I may bear much fruit in my home and the marketplace. Prosper O LORD the work of my hands and grant me opportunities this day to be a fruitful Christian who seeks to bless others. I pray in Your name. Amen
