Rewarded by the Lord-Ruth 2:12

Does God reward? Throughout the Bible you will read verses about how God rewards those who do good and repays those who do evil. In Today's devotion we see how Boaz, a prominent business owner of wheat fields in the land of Moab jumped on opportunities to do good when he heard about Ruth's life and recognized how God brought her into his life. Do you believe God longs to reward and do you good today by leading you to His field of dreams like He did Ruth? The field of dreams is Jesus Christ, for He alone is the pearl of greatest price that God gives you freely. I invite you to come and rest under His wings where you will find refuge and everlasting rewards in Jesus.

Verse about God's Reward

Boaz replied, “I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” Ruth 2:11-12 NIV

Today's Prayer About Rewards

The Lord is my reward and He will richly repay me. Lord Jesus, how can I repay You for all the goodness and mercy that You have shown me? I want to serve You wholeheartedly like Ruth by denying myself and doing those things that bring honor to Your name. Please give me a heart that loves to perform acts of goodness without expecting praise from men or anything in return. Grant me opportunities today to acts of love that blesses my family, friends and coworkers for You are my everlasting reward and in Your name I pray. Amen
