Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17 NIV 


Prayer to take the helmet of salvation and sword of the Spirit 

God's helmet (defense) and sword (offense) equip me to face life's challenges. I'm thankful Lord Jesus that You took my place on the cross to save me from eternal condemnation. Teach me to strap the helmet of salvation on my head so I learn to destroy negative thoughts that cause depression, fear, or discouragement. Grant me opportunities this day to use the sword of the Spirit (God's word) to encourage my family and friends who feel defeated. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
