Then Jeremiah said to the Recabite family, “This is what the Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: ‘You have obeyed the commands of your ancestor Jonadab. You have followed all of his teachings. You have done everything he commanded.’ So the Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: ‘There will always be a descendant of Jonadab son of Recab to serve me.’” Jeremiah 35:18-19 ERV 

Belief: God will protect and preserve my descendants if I'm obedient to His word.

Prayer for God's preservation upon my children and family

Almighty Father, thank You for being my hiding place. I ask You to please preserve my descendants and to watch over my family. I realize that my obedience and service to You has a profound impact and influence upon my children and their offspring. Keep Your hand upon my life O Lord and never let me stray from the narrow way that leads to eternal life. Holy Spirit, teach me to be an authentic disciple by trusting and obeying my Lord Jesus. Lead me to someone today whose disobedience to God has brought ruin upon their life and pain to their family. Use me to help lead them to repentance so they can experience the blessing of God that comes through obedience. In Jesus' mighty name.
