Unabandoned - Jeremiah 33:26

WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT GOD WILL NEVER ABANDON YOU?

 

Holy Scripture for the day about God never abandoning you

I will never abandon the descendants of Jacob or David, my servant, or change the plan that David’s descendants will rule the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Instead, I will restore them to their land and have mercy on them.” Jeremiah 33:26 NLT 

Belief: I may be rejected by people but God will never leave me nor forsake me.

 

Prayer to trust in God who will never abandon me

Merciful Father, as I read this promise in Your living word, it gives me assurance to know that You will never abandon me. Holy Spirit, help me conquer feelings of loneliness by remembering that nothing can ever separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Allow me to experience the presence of Jesus who promised to be with me, even to the end of my days. Guide someone across my path today who feels forsaken by family or friends. Use me to be a vessel of hope by sharing with them God's promise to never abandon them so they can boldly proclaim; "The Lord is with me and I am never alone." In Jesus' precious name.
