Sacred Promise for 2017

Brothers and sisters, I know that I still have a long way to go. But there is one thing I do: I forget what is in the past and try as hard as I can to reach the goal before me. I keep running hard toward the finish line to get the prize that is mine because God has called me through Christ Jesus to life up there in heaven. Philippians 3:13-14 ERV

Prayer of surrender to ignite faith in Jesus and new hope in the coming New Year

LORD Jesus, I place You in charge of my life and over all of my decision-making. You have endowed me with more than enough resources through the power of Your Holy Spirit to run the Christian life and be a great finisher. Holy Spirit, deliver me from being a worrier and prepare me for the new changes that the Lord will ignite in my life in 2017. Help me to forget past mistakes that no longer define me and past hurts that Satan uses to imprison my mind with negative emotions. Teach me how to stay focused on the goal of being with Jesus in heaven so I grow deeper and stronger as a follower of Christ Jesus in this New Year. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus!
