With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!” Mark 15:37-39 NIV

Belief: By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.

Prayer

I praise You, Lord Jesus, for opening the gateway to heaven for everyone who believes in You through Your death upon the cross. Thank You for carrying the burden of my sin on Your body so I can have access to the presence of God. Holy Spirit, bring someone across my path today who feels undeserving and separated from God. Grant me the opportunity to tell them that Jesus' death tore open the curtain and welcomes them into God’s presence. In His blessed name.
