Prayer for today - the Lord is my rescuer

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for hearing my cry and coming to my rescue when I feel afraid. You are the Mighty One who rescues me from those who seek to oppress me. Holy Spirit, remind me throughout this day that the Lord is my refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble. Fill my heart with a passion for helping rescue the perishing, and to care for the dying, by telling them about Jesus, the Savior of the world. In Jesus' mighty name I pray.
