The word of truth for today about Contending for the faith that God has entrusted to you - What does it mean to contend for the faith? Click here to learn more.
Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God's holy people. For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. Jude 1:3-4 NIV
POEM: "NO MISTAKES" by Lenora McWhorter.
When my hopes fade
And my dreams die.
And I find no answer
By asking why.
And my dreams die.
And I find no answer
By asking why.
I just keep on trusting
And hang on to my faith.
Because God is just
He never makes mistakes.
And hang on to my faith.
Because God is just
He never makes mistakes.
Should the storms come
And trials I must face.
When I find no solution
I rest in God's grace.
And trials I must face.
When I find no solution
I rest in God's grace.
When life seems unfair
And more than I can take.
I look up to the Father
He never makes mistakes.
And more than I can take.
I look up to the Father
He never makes mistakes.
God sees my struggles
And every bend in the road.
But no mistake is ever made
Cause He weighs every load.
And every bend in the road.
But no mistake is ever made
Cause He weighs every load.
Praise & Prayer to contend for the faith
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for having a faith that was living, unmovable, and steadfast no matter what opposition, hatred, or hardships You faced here on earth. I will follow in Your footsteps and keep my eyes upon You, the Author and Finisher of faith. Holy Spirit, please teach me to contend for the faith that God has entrusted to me by being grounded and rooted in the Holy Scriptures. Don't allow me to be deceived by ungodly people who pervert God's grace into a license for sin. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Sovereign, and Lord. Hallelujah!
