I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years. Revelation 20:4-6 NIV
Praise & Prayer to be faithful unto death.
Lord Jesus, I praise You for Your everlasting love. Thank You for laying down Your life on the cross to save me from the dreadful wages of sin and death. I believe You are the resurrection and the life who will raise me from the dead and usher me into eternal life. Please teach me, Holy Spirit, to be a courageous witness of Jesus by having a godly testimony. Deliver me from having a mindset that I have already attained the first resurrection. Help me to never take for granted the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, so I press on and serve Him until the day I leave this earth. I give all glory and honor to Thee Lord Jesus, my Wonderful Savior.
