My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:3 NIV
Q: Where is your treasure?
Maxim: Living solely for material possessions is small-kingdom thinking. It's a never-ending preoccupation with oneself that leaves you vulnerable to destruction and the loss of your soul. Christ sacrificed Himself to offer you eternal treasures of wisdom and knowledge that are far richer and greater than the trinket treasures of this world. "As Jesus said, 'Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.'"
Praise & Prayer
Jesus, my Savior, I come to tell You that you are my treasure and are more valuable to me than all the riches this world has to offer me. I acknowledge the fact that enjoying the good things that come from God's generous heart is not wrong, but nothing in this world can compare to the incomparable riches, incorruptible treasures, and full wealth that are found in You. Holy Spirit, please lead me to an impoverished soul who is saying to themselves, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But do not realize that they are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. Open their ears to hear and eyes to see that Christ is life's greatest treasure. Convict their heart to believe as we pray in Jesus' mighty name.
