Then the Lord told Moses to go to Pharaoh and tell him: “The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says, ‘Let my people go to worship me!’ If you continue to hold them and refuse to let them go, then the Lord will use His power against your animals in the fields. He will cause all of your horses, donkeys, camels, cattle, and sheep to get sick with a terrible disease. But the Lord will treat Israel’s animals differently from the animals of Egypt. None of the animals that belong to the Israelites will die. The Lord has set the time for this to happen. He said, ‘Tomorrow the Lord will make this happen in this country.’” The next morning the Lord did what he said. All the farm animals of the Egyptians died, but none of the animals that belonged to the Israelites died. Pharaoh sent people to see if any of the animals of Israel died. Not one of them died. But Pharaoh remained stubborn and did not let the people go. Exodus 9:1-7 ERV
Praise & Prayer
Sovereign LORD, thank You for revealing Your Omnipotence through sicknesses, pestilences, diseases (viruses), or the death of animals, as Pharaoh, the people of Egypt, and Israel witnessed. I am grateful for the mercy and grace You have shown me that inspires me to worship and serve You. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for going to the cross and rising from the dead to save me from the judgments I rightfully deserved. Please deliver me from having a stubborn heart like Pharoah who was governed by foolish pride, idolatrous tendencies, and acts of disobedience. Holy Spirit, teach me to have a broken and contrite heart so I experience the miracle of God's favor and protection over my family, pets, work, and life. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
March through books of the Bible and meditate on the verse and prayer of the day to help strengthen your faith and personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Loving people with compassionate care and pointing them to "The Truth, Christ our Savior," is how you will be a soul winner and bring glory to God.
