WISE: You are wise and understanding by doing right and being humble - James 3:13

Are there any among you who are really wise and understanding? Then you should show your wisdom by living right. You should do what is good with humility. A wise person does not boast. If you are selfish and have bitter jealousy in your hearts, you have no reason to boast. Your boasting is a lie that hides the truth. That kind of “wisdom” does not come from God. That “wisdom” comes from the world. It is not spiritual. It is from the devil. Where there is jealousy and selfishness, there will be confusion and every kind of evil. James 3:13-16 ERV

Proverbs 9:10; "When pride comes [boiling up with an arrogant attitude of self-importance], then come dishonor and shame, But with the humble [the teachable who have been chiseled by trial and who have learned to walk humbly with God] there is wisdom and soundness of mind." Proverbs 11:2;

Praise & Prayer
I praise You, Holy Father, for Christ Jesus, who personified wisdom, understanding, and humility by doing what was right in Your eyes. Lord Jesus, I confess my incompetence and ask You to please free me from selfishness, pride, and jealousy. I want to demonstrate Your wisdom by being a godly and spiritual influence to my family and friends. Help me to do good and reject worldly wisdom that the father of lies, the devil, propagates worldwide. Holy Spirit, please guide me to someone today who is confused and feels a deep hunger in their soul for wisdom and truth. Grant me the opportunity to lead them to faith in Christ, who is the power and wisdom of God. I pray for their salvation in the mighty name of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
