Prayer & Praise
Merciful and gracious Father, we remember the fallen, including my uncle Roger, and the millions of courageous men and women who sacrificed their lives to protect the defenseless, deliver the helpless, and save the hopeless on this Memorial Day. I ask You to please comfort the hearts and heal the wounds of families who have lost loved ones in a war. Most of all, I am forever grateful for the everlasting love of our Lord Jesus Christ, who faced the terror of death head-on, bore our pains, and laid down His life to pay the price of our sins and give every soul who believes in Him the hope of eternal life. Holy Spirit, please guide a veteran across my path today, whom I can thank by saying, "Your sacrifice and service to our country are not forgotten. Thanks to people like you, the vulnerable can experience freedom." I pray for their healing from PTSD and for their salvation in Jesus' mighty name.
