LIFTED: Jesus comes to lift you up - Mark 1:31

After they left the synagogue, they went directly to the house of Simon and Andrew, along with James and John. Now Simon's mother-in-law was lying in bed, sick with a fever, so they promptly told Jesus about her. And He came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered to them. Mark 1:29-30

Hymn: "HE LIFTED ME" by Charles H. Gabriel
In loving-kindness Jesus came,
My soul in mercy to reclaim,
And from the depths of sin and shame
Through grace He lifted me.

His brow was pierced with many a thorn,
His hands by cruel nails were torn,
When from my guilt and grief, forlorn,
In love He lifted me.

From sinking sand He lifted me,
With tender hand He lifted me;
From shades of night to plains of light,
Oh, praise His Name, He lifted me!

Praise & Prayer
You left, Lord Jesus, the majesty and glory of heaven, to lift me from my bed of sickness and shame. You lifted me when I was weak and had no one to help me. You lifted me when I was blind and could not see. You lifted me from my darkness and brought me into Your marvelous light. You lifted me when I was dead in sin and gave me a new life. Please use me, Holy Spirit, to help lift a family member, friend, or stranger who is beaten down and feels half dead. Lift them, O LORD, as I point them to You and pray in Your mighty name. Amen.
