IMPORTANT: Your #1 priority in life is to love the Lord your God - Mark 12:30

One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked Him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
“Well said, Teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is One and there is no other but Him. To love Him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on, no one dared ask Him any more questions. Mark 12:28-34

• "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
• "But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Prayer & Praise
My purpose in life and #1 priority is to love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Abba Father, I confess that my love for You pales in comparison to Your everlasting love for me, which You demonstrated through the gift of Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, I praise You for sacrificing Your life on the cross and loving me to the point of death. Who can ever love me the way You do? I surrender my life to You and ask You to please teach me how to love the Lord my God with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind, and all my strength, just as You taught the teacher of the law who asked You which commandment was the most important one. May my love for God be evident today by being a channel of Your love to my neighbors (people) and family members that the Holy Spirit brings across my path. I pray in Your mighty name, Lord Jesus.
