Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, ‘I AM the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!” Mark 12:24-27
Prayer & Praise
I AM A CHILD OF THE LIVING GOD! Please give me understanding of the Holy Scriptures, Lord Jesus, so I can grow deeper in knowing Your truth and the power of God in my life. I praise You for reminding me that "God is the God of the living, not of the dead." Holy Spirit, please guide someone across my path today who has questions or is greatly mistaken about what happens to us when we die. Give me wisdom to share the good news of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, who is the Resurrection and the Life, with love and empathy. Abba Father, I praise You for being my God who fills me with living hope in Christ, my Savior.
