REMEMBER: Remember the word that Jesus has spoken to you - Mark 14:72

While Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came by. When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked closely at him. “You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus,” she said. But he denied it. “I don’t know or understand what you’re talking about,” he said, and went out into the entryway. When the servant girl saw him there, she said again to those standing around, “This fellow is one of them.” Again he denied it. After a little while, those standing near said to Peter, “Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean.” He began to call down curses, and he swore to them, “I don’t know this Man you’re talking about.” Immediately, the rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will disown Me three times.” And he broke down and wept. Mark 14:66-72

Living Truth
  • "If we endure hardship, we will also reign together with Him; if we deny Him, He also will deny us; if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He is not able to deny Himself." 2 Timothy 2:12-13
  • One of the criminals who hung there heaped abuse on Him. “Are You not the Christ?” he said. “Save Yourself and us!” But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same judgment? We are punished justly, for we are receiving what our actions deserve. But this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Luke 23:39-43
  • "If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.” Mark 8:38
Prayer & Praise
How quickly and easily I forget what Jesus has said. If I am faithless like Peter and disown Jesus, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. I am in awe of Your everlasting love and remarkable mercy, Lord Jesus, despite my failures, just as Peter experienced when he disowned You before others. I thank You for remaining faithful to me even when I fall short of Your expectations. Holy Spirit, please fill my heart with steadfast faith when I face hardships so I never deny my Lord Jesus before family or others in the marketplace. Guide me to someone today who has disowned Jesus and feels burdened with shame. Abba Father, I pray that they may experience peace with You by renewing their trust in Jesus and remembering that He is our faithful Savior. Amen.
