Your Father and your God-John 20:17

Today's Bible Promise gives people who feel like orphans full confidence that we have a Living Father in heaven who loves and cares for you. For many of us, we have only experienced having a "dad" in our lives who failed us, disappointed us, abandoned us, or may have abused us when we needed them most. My earthly dad never told me that he loved me until he was on his death bed. Its unfortunate that he waited so long because he learned that day the joy of expressing his feelings for someone who loved him.

Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).  Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” John 20:16-17 NIV

Today's Prayer

Father God, how great is the love that You have lavished upon me in Jesus Christ. My heart rejoices to know that You receive me with arms wide open and have adopted me as one of Your children. Lead me to bereaved souls in the marketplace who feel abandoned and need to hear of Your benevolent love in Jesus. In His name I pray
