Job prayed and God gave-Job 42: 10

Does God hear and answer my prayers? Learning to wait upon God is a lifetime learning experience for me. The prophet Jeremiah gives us a wonderful promise in chapter 29:v13 - "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." I've come to realize the truth that God is near when I am still and seek Him in prayer. God is like a loving parent who answers your prayer requests in three ways:  

• YES, because your prayer request aligns with His perfect will for your life and brings glory to Jesus; 

• NO, because your prayer request is not what the Father has planned for your life. For example, the apostle Paul prayed three times that God would heal him from a physical infirmity and God answered his prayer request by telling him; "My grace is sufficient for you."  

• WAIT-because He wants me to grow in faith and learn to trust Him in times of need. The biggest mistakes I've made in my life have been because I was impatient and and did not wait upon God. Don't make the same mistake by being self-reliant and restless. Wait upon the LORD today and rest in His faithfulness for He hears your prayer and knows what's best for you! 

Promise for answered prayer

When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before! Job 42:10 NLT

Prayer of faith

God hears my prayer. Living Father, I thank You for hearing my prayers on behalf of my family, friends, and coworkers. Please deliver me from being a fire extinguisher Christian who only prays when there are emergencies in my life. Restore unto me O Lord the joy of my salvation and stir me to always pray and not lose heart especially when You delay to answer my prayer. In Jesus' name I pray
