Prayer of thanks for salvation through Christ

My hope is in the Lord's salvation. Mighty Savior, I praise Your relentless love and honor You because You have done so much to save me from sin and eternal death. I pray for families and children in Iraq and Syria who are being persecuted and facing death by ISIS for being a Christian. Lord, please empower them through Your Holy Spirit to hold on to their faith by remembering the hope of eternal salvation that we have in You. Grant me an opportunity today to share this promise of salvation with someone who is grieving. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
