I am here - Mark 6:50

Holy scripture for today about Jesus is always near

He saw that they were in serious trouble, rowing hard and struggling against the wind and waves. About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. He intended to go past them, but when they saw him walking on the water, they cried out in terror, thinking he was a ghost. They were all terrified when they saw him. But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage! I am here!” Mark 6:48-51

Belief: Jesus is always near to calm my fears!

Prayer to trust in Jesus when I feel terrified

When I go through deep waters, You are with me O Lord. When I go through rivers of difficulty, You will not let me drown. When I walk through the fire of oppression, You will not let me be burned up, the flames will not consume me. I need You Lord Jesus and ask You to draw near to me. Holy Spirit, lead me to someone today who feels terrified or is in serious trouble. Allow me to be a vessel of encouragement by praying with them so they can experience the powerful presence of Jesus. In His mighty name.
