But Saul, still breathing threats and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked for letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Jesus is the Light of the world;
The Light that will never grow dim.
They shall never walk in darkness;
All who believe and follow Him.

Prayer to be a light to people in darkness
I remember the day, Lord Jesus, You shined Your heavenly Light upon my life and vanquished the darkness that enslaved me for numerous years. Please use me this day to be a light to someone who loves darkness and relishes doing what is evil in Your eyes. I ask You to heal their blindness and rescue them from the devil's control as I point them to You, the Light of the world. I pray for their salvation in Your holy and mighty name, amen!
