Thank You, Lord for drawing me near
and opening my eyes to see;
The sin in which my heart was enslaved
and in great need to be set free.
The gift of repentance is truly a gift;
For by it I know Your Spirit is in me,
as He brings me to sorrow over my sin,
and turns the eyes of my heart towards Thee.
It is You the only One and True
that can set a prisoner free;
Little by little showing me my sin,
and little by little changing me within.
So as I live my life abiding in You,
and You abiding in me;
May I find joy in repentance for by it I know,
Your Spirit is living in me!

I praise You, Holy Father, for granting me the gift of repentance through Jesus Christ, my Savior, that leads to an abundant and fulfilling life. Lord Jesus, I recall the moment when I surrendered my life to You. Immediately, my mind began to change, and I started to hate sin. You gave me a new heart to love what is right and to hate what is evil in the eyes of God. Holy Spirit, please convict me when I sin against the Lord and help me to repent and turn back to God so I finish the race of life as a victorious Christian. I pray in the mighty name of Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
