UNION: The Messiah demolished barriers between races - Ephesians 2:14

Q: Are you a UNITER or a DIVIDER?

For Christ Himself has brought us peace by making Jews and Gentiles one people. With His own body, He broke down the wall that separated them and kept them enemies. He abolished the Jewish Law with its commandments and rules, in order to create out of the two races one new people in union with Himself, in this way making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which He put to death their hostility. Ephesians 2:14-16 NIV

Praise & Prayer

I praise You, Lord Jesus, for making me a new creation. Your flawless love and perfect peace helped me overcome racial prejudice. Thank You for victory at the cross that broke down the  wall that separated me from God's commandments, Jews, Gentiles, male and female, young and old, rich and poor, smart and uneducated, black and white. Please continue to teach me, Holy Spirit, to be mindful in safeguarding the unity that Christ our Prince of Peace, wants for all believers. Help me this day to promote harmony with all humans, irrespective of their race or color so they see my association with Christ through my words and deeds. I pray in Jesus' mighty name, amen.

POEM: "WE ARE ONE IN CHRIST" ***

We are many,
God's great diversity,
yet we are one in Christ. 

Different faces,
different races,
yet we are one in Christ.

Butchers, bakers,
website makers,
bankers, tailors,
teachers, sailors,
yet we are one in Christ. 

Fathers, mothers,
sisters, brothers,
single, married,
broken, carried,
yet we are one in Christ.

The happy, the clappy,
the barely out of nappies,
the ancient, the modern,
the famous, the forgotten,
yet we are one in Christ. 

Some hopeful, some hopeless,
some cope well, some cope less.
Some sure and some doubt,
some whisper, some shout,
yet we are one in Christ.
