It’s not at all fanciful for me to think this way about you. My prayers and hopes have deep roots in reality. You have, after all, stuck with me all the way from the time I was thrown in jail, put on trial, and came out of it in one piece. All along you have experienced with me the most generous help from God. Philippians 1:7 MSG
I will say with unwavering confidence, "The LORD Almighty is my helper. I have no reason to be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" Heavenly Father, I praise You for Your generous help that fills my heart with peace and delivers my soul from being afraid. In the precious name of Jesus, I ask You to please send Your generous help to family members facing physical hardships and friends dealing with mental illness. Allow them to experience Your miraculous help and power. Use me, Holy Spirit, to help strengthen the faith of people You place in my path today. I pray in the mighty name of Christ Jesus. Hosanna [save now]!
Poem: "OUR GOD, OUR HELP" - by Isaac Watts*
Our God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home:
Under the shadow of Thy throne
Thy saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone,
And our defense is sure.
Our God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Be Thou our guard while troubles last,
And our eternal home.
