“Some say ‘John the Baptizer,’” they said. “Others say ‘Elijah.’ Still others say ‘one of the prophets.’”
He then asked, “And you—what are you saying about Me? Who Am I?”
Peter answered: “You are the Christ, the Messiah.” Jesus warned them to keep it quiet, not to breathe a word of it to anyone. Mark 8:27-31
- The most important question you'll ever face in life is this: "Who do you say Jesus is?"
- "But these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name." John 20:3
- “But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.'” Luke 2:10-11
People say many things about who You are, Lord Jesus, as they did when You were here on earth. Like Peter, I am not ashamed to proclaim that You are "The Christ, my Messiah." I confess You as Lord of my life and believe You are the "Chosen One" of God who died on the cross and rose again to save me from the wages of sin and eternal death. I place my trust in You and thank You for the great honor of knowing You, serving You, and living for You. Forever grateful I will be and will praise You for all eternity. Amen!
