LIVING TRUTH:
When life gets tough, I will continue to trust in the Lord Jesus, who suffered for me and gives me the strength to persevere. Thank You, loving Father, for assuring me that You use every affliction and hardship to refine me and purge away the dross, impurities and ugliness from my life. Help me remember, Holy Spirit, that the challenges God wants me to face in this life are temporary and cannot compare with the glory that will be revealed when I see Christ Jesus. I ask in Jesus' mighty name.
- “Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction." Isaiah 48:10
- In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in various trials / so that the proven character of your faith—more precious than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6-7
