God hears me-Nehemiah 4:4

Does God hear me?

YES HE DOES! Today's devotion gives us encouragement to pray when we face hardships. Nehemiah was a prayer warrior who turned to God for strength in times of discouragement and persecution. Its normal for you and I to get down and have feelings of insecurity when we are threatened by others or hear bad news. Jesus was facing death by crucifixion and tells his followers - "Don't let your heart be troubled." If you are discouraged today, turn to your Father in heaven who listens and will answer your prayers. The LORD JESUS gives us a wonderful promise in John 14:13 ERV - Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Bible Verses About God Hearing Prayer

Hear us, our God, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity. Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight, for they have thrown insults in the face of the builders. Nehemiah 4:4-5 NIV

Prayers to the Living God who takes time to listen

The LORD hears my cry. Abba Father, please help me raise the shield of faith that I may learn to conquer the fiery darts of doubt that the devil hurls at me today. Give me strength to persevere and not coward if I am despised or insulted for my Christian faith. Teach me to depend upon the Holy Spirit's power instead of reacting in the flesh. May my conduct bring glory to You and my Lord Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
