Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”  Matthew 15:32 NIV


Hebrew meaning of Compassion: (hamal [l;m'j], rachuwm [Wj;r])  “To show pity”; “To be loved by”; and "To show mercy"


Dictionary.com meaning of Compassion: “A feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.”


Prayer to experience the compassion of Jesus

Let my life, Lord Jesus, be a reflection Your constant compassion and a statement of Your unfailing love. I marvel at Your pity and thank You for the deep sympathy You extend to broken people who need Your compassionate care. Lead me Holy Spirit to someone today who stricken by misfortune and has nothing. Help me point them to Jesus who is full of compassion, rich in love, and longs to save all who call upon His mighty name. Amen
