Jesus asked, “How much bread do you have?” “Seven loaves,” they said, “plus a few fish.” At that, Jesus directed the people to sit down. He took the seven loaves and the fish. After giving thanks, he divided it up and gave it to the people. Everyone ate. They had all they wanted. It took seven large baskets to collect the leftovers. Over four thousand people ate their fill at that meal. After Jesus sent them away, he climbed in the boat and crossed over to the Magadan hills. Matthew 15:34-39 MSG

Prayer for God's provision

Heavenly Father, You are "Jehovah Jireh, The Lord our provider." Never have I seen the rightoeus forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. It is wonderful to see the revelation of Your generous heart through the life of Jesus. You, Christ Jesus, are the source and fountain of life for everything I need. I confess You as my Lord, my Savior, my Provider, my Redeemer, my Hope, and my Healer. Holy Spirit, guide a seeker across my path today that is hungering for something more than what this world has to offer. Grant me an opportunity to share with them the wonderful truth that there is no need too small that Jesus does not know about in our lives and there is nothing too big that He can't provide for those who call upon His mighty Name. Amen.
