LISTEN: Listen to God - Acts 4:19

So they [the Council] called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done. For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed. Acts 4:18-20 NKJV

When we hear the voice of God
Speaking to our hearts,
Do we obey and follow Him
Or are we slow to start?

For when the Lord speaks to us,
We need to heed the call
And do the things He wants us to,
Giving to Him our all

I know at times it can be hard
To know the Father's will,
We need to listen to His voice,
For He speaks when all is still

Praise & Prayer to listen and obey God

Lord Jesus, I love to be in Your presence to hear Your voice of compassion that fills my heart with comfort and hope. I recall what You told the disciples when You said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any one pluck them out of My hand." Like Peter and John, I will listen and obey God no matter the threats or persecution I may suffer from people who hate You or our heavenly Father. Please guide me, Holy Spirit, to someone today who is listening to the devil's voice and is full of hostility and hopelessness. Open their ears to hear the voice of Jesus as I listen, ask questions, and share the good news of salvation. I pray for their salvation in Your mighty name, Lord Jesus.
