Paul said, “John told people to be baptized to show they wanted to change their lives. He told people to believe in the one who would come after him, and that one is Jesus.” When these followers heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Paul laid his hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came on them. They began speaking different languages and prophesying. There were about twelve men in this group. Acts 19:4-7

we all need You
to help us daily
to battle through.
Without Your strength,
to overcome
to each temptation
we would succumb.
Holy Spirit,
God's gift to us
in Your power
we need to trust.
Without Your courage,
to make us willing
to the world's ways
we'd still be living.
Holy Spirit,
who dwells within
only You can give us. . .
power over sin!
Praise & Prayer to be Empowered by the Holy Spirit
I am thankful for the gift of the Holy Spirit from God, which comes to me through Christ Jesus my Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for sending the Holy Spirit to guide me as my Teacher, Comforter, Counselor, and Helper. When I face challenges that test my faith or discourage me, Holy Spirit, please revive Jesus' words in my heart. Grant me opportunities this day to speak the languages of Christ's unfailing love and living hope to individuals who are weary and struggling in their faith. I pray for their spiritual wellness in the powerful name of Jesus.
