As you know, you Philippians were the only ones who gave me financial help when I first brought you the Good News and then traveled on from Macedonia. No other church did this. Even when I was in Thessalonica you sent help more than once. I don’t say this because I want a gift from you. Rather, I want you to receive a reward for your kindness. Philippians 4:15-17 NLT
Lord Jesus, I come to You today with a grateful heart for the undeserved gifts of love, kindness, mercy, grace, peace, joy, healing, salvation, hope, eternal life, etc., that stream into my life from You. So often, Lord, my thoughtless heart is filled with selfish ambitions that leave me feeling dissatisfied. Please forgive me. I trust in You as my Savior and praise You for promising to provide for all my needs according to Your riches in glory. You are my supreme reward! Holy Spirit, please teach me to model the generous heart of the Philippians who gave their time, skills, and finances to Paul and other believers in need. Guide me to someone You want me to bless with kindness. Open their heart to receive the Good News and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
