Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I WILL HELP YOU speak and will teach you what to say.” Exodus 4:10-12
I praise You, loving Father, for reminding me this morning with questions You asked Moses, that You created me in Your image and are my sufficiency. Lord Jesus, please teach me to be Your messenger so I learn to hear Your voice and speak words of life and hope that build up the lives of family members and people in the marketplace that You place in my circle of influence. Please guide me, Holy Spirit, to someone who, like Moses, feels inadequate when given important tasks from God. Use me to strengthen their faith in the Lord, our almighty provider and helper. I pray in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
