MERCY: You have received God's mercy - 1 Peter 2:10

“Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.” 1 Peter 2:10

Living Truth:

• "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved!" Ephesians 2:5-6 
• "When they came to the place called The Skull, they crucified Him there, along with the criminals, one on His right and the other on His left. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up His garments by casting lots." Luke 23:33-34

Praise & Prayer
I have received the richness of mercy and great love from God the Father and my Lord Jesus Christ. When I reflect on Your mercy, Heavenly Father, I am reminded of how You withheld the condemnation I rightly deserved by sacrificing Your Son on the cross for my sins. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for showing me great mercy by forgiving my sins and giving me a new identity as a child of God. Please guide me, Holy Spirit, to someone today who is dead in their trespasses and feels undeserving of God's mercy. Open their ears to hear and heart to believe the Good News — "Once you received no mercy; now you have received God's mercy through Jesus Christ." I pray for their salvation in Jesus' mighty name.
