WHOLESOME-THINKING: The Bible nurtures your mind with wholesome thinking - 2 Peter 3:1

Beloved, this is now my second letter to you. Both of them are reminders to stir you to wholesome thinking by recalling what was foretold by the holy prophets and commanded by our Lord and Savior through your apostles. 2 Peter 3:1-2

Transforming Truth:

• "Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things." Philippians 4:8
• "Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." Colossians 3:2
• "For, “Who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach Him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ." 1 Corinthians 2:16

Praise & Prayer:
I am indebted to You, Lord Jesus, and I thank You for Your living Word, which enriches me with wholesome thinking (dwelling on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, praiseworthy) and helps me overcome self-destructive thoughts. Please give me a great hunger, Holy Spirit, to read the Bible every day and meditate on the Scriptures so I can learn to recall what the holy prophets foretold and what my Lord Jesus commanded. Teach me to set my mind on things above rather than on earthly things. Bring someone across my path today whose carnal mind is tormented by the devil's lies and wicked practices that enchain them in sin. I pray for their freedom, repentance, and salvation in Jesus' mighty name.
