“The kingdom of God is like a king who decided to square accounts with his servants. As he got under way, one servant was brought before him who had run up a debt of a hundred thousand dollars. He couldn’t pay up, so the king ordered the man, along with his wife, children, and goods, to be auctioned off at the slave market. “The poor wretch threw himself at the king’s feet and begged, ‘Give me a chance and I’ll pay it all back.’ Touched by his plea, the king let him off, erasing the debt. Prayer for today - my debt is paid by Jesus

I come like this poor wretch with deep gratitude before Your presence King Jesus to thank You for erasing my debt of sin and shame. I am speechless for the unfailing love and boundless mercy You have shown to me, Your servant. Holy Spirit guide people across my path today who feel crushed by the debt of their sin and have no clue of God’s mercy and amazing grace. Use me in helping them understand the freedom Jesus yearns to give them by erasing their debt of sin through confession of faith in His mighty name. Amen
